What to Expect

When you join us for service on Sunday mornings, you will find that worship at St. Luke’s is representative of the worship of the whole, historical, Christian church from the time of Jesus Christ until the modern day.

Divine services are typically a little more than one hour long. Each service follows an order of Service from the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod’s hymnal The Lutheran Service Book. This means that, among other features, each service includes a number of traditional hymns, Confession and Absolution, chanting, readings from the Bible, a sermon based on the Word of God. Also, the Lord’s Supper is offered every Sunday for members of St. Luke’s and for visitors who are members in good standing of sister churches of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Visitors who intend to commune are encouraged to introduce themselves to the Pastor prior to the service.
